About AI Text Detector
Teachers, editors and anyone who hires writers increasingly want to know whether a text came straight from a chatbot. This checker looks for the patterns that chatbot text tends to have: stock phrases, sentences of very similar length, paragraphs that open with Furthermore or Additionally, and chat-style formatting. It gives an AI-like percentage, explains each signal and highlights the sentences behind the score, so you can judge for yourself instead of trusting one number.
How to use AI Text Detector
- Paste at least 80 words of English text into Your text, or click one of the samples to see how it works.
- Click Check text to get the AI-like percentage and a verdict: human-written, mixed or AI-generated.
- Read What the score is based on to see which patterns were found, such as chatbot-style phrases or very even sentences.
- Check the highlighted sentences under Your text; they are the parts that read most like a chatbot.
How your data is handled
The text is checked in your browser with a fixed list of writing patterns; no AI model or server is involved. Nothing you paste is uploaded, sent to SAA Tool or stored.
Limits and accuracy
- It's an estimate from writing patterns, not proof, so never use the score alone to accuse someone of using AI.
- AI text that has been edited, or written with instructions to sound natural, can score low.
- Formal, technical or non-native English writing can score higher than it should.
- English only; texts under about 150 words give less reliable results.
Questions and answers
How accurate is this AI detector?
It's an estimate. It reliably flags text full of typical chatbot phrases and very even sentences, but edited AI text can score low and formal human writing can score high. No detector, free or paid, can prove who wrote a text.
What does the percentage mean?
It shows how strongly the text has the patterns common in chatbot writing, from 0 to 100. Under 25% looks human-written, 25-59% is mixed or unclear, and 60% or more looks AI-generated. It isn't the share of the text an AI wrote.
Can I use it to prove a student or writer used AI?
No. Treat a high score as a reason to look closer and talk to the writer, not as evidence. Research has found that AI detectors flag non-native English writing as AI far more often than native writing.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The check runs in your browser with a fixed list of patterns, so the text you paste isn't sent to SAA Tool or anyone else, and nothing is stored.
Why does my own writing get a high score?
Formal writing full of linking words such as Furthermore and Moreover, sentences of the same length and stock phrases like 'plays a crucial role' look like chatbot text. Varying your sentence length and using plainer words usually lowers the score.
